Yolanda Evette Williams’ music career began as she participated in the children’s choir at Fifth Street Baptist Church. Her relationship with God and music abilities grew as she participated in numerous (all) choirs there where she was a member from childhood. Evette also participated in school choirs and many singing groups, some of which were the Richmond United Mass Choir, the Richmond North Side Churches Mass Choir, and the Richmond Division – Gospel Music Workshop of America. Most recently, she had the opportunity to sing with the National Full Gospel Mass Choir at its annual convention. In addition, she has been a psalmist at weddings, funerals, worship services, etc. As noted in Ecclesia’s bio, Ecclesia has also afforded her many ministry opportunities.

Though she loves to minister through song, Evette’s first ministry is to her husband, Clinton and children Angel and C.J. She is also an Associate Pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Beaverdam, VA where the Rev. Dr. John W. Kinney is the Senior Pastor. In addition to teaching and preaching there, she founded and facilitates the Intercessory Prayer Ministry.

She received a Master of Divinity Degree with an emphasis in Christian Education from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at the Virginia Union University. She is presently preparing to further her education by pursing a Doctoral Degree in Theology with an emphasis in Pastoral Care. Though singing is a major part of the call on her life, ministering to particularly young hurting women and those with terminal illnesses are also major parts of God’s ministry call on her life.
